Psychologists experienced with sleep issues our clinic has implemented a COVIDSafe Plan in accordance with current Monash University policies. We currently offer our services in-person or via Telehealth. If you are attending the clinic to see services for insomnia or a body clock disorder, we recommend obtaining both referrals for a sleep physician (if you have not seen one yet) and psychologist during your visit to your GP, so that you can receive the full benefits of our service without delay. Ask your GP for a Mental Health Care Plan to see a psychologist.To see a psychologist for sleep concerns: Ask your GP for a referral to a sleep physician for the initial consultation.The best way to arrange that is to ask your GP for a referral, so that you may receive Medicare rebates. We work closely with existing care providers and our multi-disciplinary team of experts meet and discuss joint care of clientsÄepending on your needs, you may see a sleep physician, psychologist, or both. Team-based approach is a stand-out feature in the treatment we provide.All our psychologists are experienced with general mental health concerns, and can provide integrated care when sleep problems co-occur with difficulties such as depression and anxiety.Our treatments can run alongside most pharmaceutical treatments.Hypnotic tapering (reducing the sleep medication). ![]() Body clock re-alignment using bright light therapy, light hygiene, and melatonin.Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia.We are experienced with science-based treatments, including: Physiological assessments for body clock.We tailor treatments for each client through a range of assessments. ![]() For example, we will support individuals with obstructive sleep apnea in addressing co-existing insomnia. We will, however, provide assessment and treatment for above non-respiratory sleep disorders if they co-exist with a respiratory sleep disorder. If a respiratory sleep condition such as obstructive sleep apnea is the only concern, please contact other sleep disorder services. We focus on treating non-respiratory sleep disorders above.
